What are collections?
‘Collections’ is where you can save all the places you want to remember or new places you’re interested in visiting. Place these locations in different folders and organize them according to your wishes (eg, create collections of ‘restaurants’, ‘nice places to visit’, ‘parks’ etc, or any other category of your interest). You decide.
How can I create new collections?
To add new places to a Collection folder, follow these steps:
- Search for the address or place you’d like to save in a collection
- When a result of your search shows up you’ll see a star icon on the right side, next to ‘Directions’
- You can also select the option ‘Save in collections’ below ‘Directions’
- Click on the star icon and select the folder where you’d like to save this address or create a new one
Another way of creating a new Collections folder is:
- Open the WeGo app and drag the bottom bar up to expand the menu
- Select ‘New collection’ under the ‘Your Collections’ option in the menu
- Name your new folder and choose one of the available images
- Select ‘Create collection’
- Your new folder is now ready. To add new places, select ‘Add a place’
How do I edit, delete or manage my collections?
To manage, rearrange or edit your Collections:
- Launch the app and drag the bottom bar up to expand the menu
- Select ‘See all’ on the right side of the ‘Your Collections’ option
- To edit your Collections folders, select the three dots next to the folder that you’d like to edit or delete
- To edit places saved in the folders, select the folder where the location is saved
- Select the three dots to the right of this location or POI
- The app will display the options to edit the place, share it, add it to your shortcuts or delete it
Your collections are synced to your HERE account. Log in with the same account on wego.here.com to access your Collections on your web browser.
My collections are not syncing. What should I do?
Don’t worry, collections are always linked to your HERE account. This means that if you’re using the same HERE account you used for previous versions of WeGo, you should be able to access your collections.
If you’re still experiencing issues with reaching your collections, we recommend these steps:
- Confirm that you’re logging in with the same HERE account you used before. Different HERE accounts won’t sync their collections, even if they are from the same user (ie, if you have an account linked to your email address and another one linked to a Facebook/Apple ID).
- Try logging out and logging in again (make sure you’re logging in with the app in online mode).

How can I share my collections with friends, add my friends’ collections to my account, or export/import collections from/into WeGo?
To import collections into WeGo:
- Open the app
- Drag up the bottom bar to expand the menu
- Click on ‘See all’ next to ‘Your collections’ section
- Select ‘Options’ on the top right corner of this tab
- Choose ‘Import collections’
- Make sure that the files you’d like to import into WeGo are .geojson files
To export collections from WeGo:
- Open the app
- Drag up the bottom bar to expand the menu
- Click on ‘See all’ next to ‘Your collections’ section
- Select the three dots next to the folder you’d like to export
- Choose ‘Share’
- Save it to your phone and/or share with your family and friends!
