• HERE Account
    • What do I get from a HERE account?

With a HERE account, you can save places, collections and other stuff and sync them with other devices or web apps. No matter where you’re signed in, your settings and all of your collections, places, commutes and routes are with you. You only need one email address and password to sign in to all HERE services and apps, and you can manage your account using any of them.

    • I think I have two HERE accounts. How did this happen? Can I merge them?

This can happen if you register for a HERE account using an email address and a password, and also sign in using Facebook. If the Facebook email address is different from that of the HERE account, you’ll have two different accounts. At the moment, you can’t merge existing HERE accounts, but it may be possible later.

    • Can I delete my HERE account?

Yes, you can, but unless you’re 100% sure you don’t want to keep anything you saved using HERE services or apps, it’s better to deactivate your account. Deactivating ‘hides’ your profile so others can’t find it, although they'll still be able to see any places, public collections or ratings you added. You won’t get any marketing emails from HERE, but you’ll still be notified of important info about your account. You can reactivate your account anytime just by signing in.

To deactivate your account, go to HERE account, sign in, and select Deactivate account at the bottom of the Account settings.

To delete your account, look for the delete your account link at the bottom of the Deactivate account page. Once you delete your account, neither your account nor any stuff you saved with it can be recovered.

    • What happens if I sign in to HERE with Facebook? Do you post stuff on my behalf?

When you sign in with Facebook, HERE simply uses Facebook to verify your identity. If you don’t already have a HERE account when you sign in using Facebook, we’ll ask Facebook for some basic info so we can set up a HERE account for you. We won’t know or store your Facebook password, and nothing you do in a HERE app will be posted on Facebook without your permission.

    • How do I change my HERE account email address or password or other info?

You can manage your account info by going to HERE account and signing in. Whenever you make a change to your account info, you’ll get an email to confirm the change.

    • Can I sign in to my HERE account with both Facebook and my email and password?

Right now, no. Just use one method or the other.

    • How old do I have to be to sign up for a HERE account?

You have to be aged 13 years or older in most countries. In the USA, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires websites that keep user info not to allow user accounts for anyone under 13. Many other countries have similar rules, and in some, you have to be older than 13. In Spain, for example, you have to be 14.
